Bancroft School Coach Garth Adams Recognized as NEPSAC Class C Boys Basketball Coach of the Year
WORCESTER, MA : Bancroft School is proud to announce that Garth Adams has been named the NEPSAC Class C Boys Basketball Coach of the Year for the 2025-2026 season. This marks the second consecutive year Coach Adams has been recognized. The New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) recognized him for his for his leadership on and off the court.
Adams joined the Bancroft School community in August 2021 and led his first winter season later that year. Now in his fifth season and also serving as the school’s Athletic Director, Adams lives in West Hartford, CT.
Adams Coached Team to NEPSAC Championship
The award follows a winning season for Bancroft School, culminating in the team earning the NEPSAC Class C Championship. Coach Adams attributed the victory to the long term growth and shared history of the students on the roster.
“This entire group demonstrated great determination and commitment to our goals all season and this made it possible for us to achieve this NEPSAC championship”,” said Coach Adams.
Throughout the season, the team demonstrated a high level of commitment to their collective goals. Coach Adams emphasized that the success belonged to the students and the support systems that surround the program.
“I am incredibly honored to receive the NEPSAC Class C Coach of the Year award for the 2025, 26 season,” Adams added. “I want to thank the student-athletes on my team, whose hard work and commitment to our team goals made this recognition possible, and my family, who supported me throughout this championship season.”
