Libraries
A Library in Motion
Bancroft’s Garfield Upper School Library and Prouty Lower School Library share more than space. Together, they serve as an active gathering place for students and teachers across campus.
Students come here to read, research, study, collaborate, and create. Teachers meet here to plan and work together. Student projects and artwork fill the space, from Lower School displays to the 6th Grade Showcase. The library also hosts community moments like Bark for Books, when Lower School students read aloud to trained therapy dogs.
From a child choosing a picture book to an Upper School student refining a research project, the library supports learning at every stage. It is a place where questions are asked, ideas are shared, and students see their work become part of the life of the school.
