Yes. Upper School students can pursue a variety of AP and advanced-level (post AP) courses that provide academic challenge and preparation for college-level work. Students work closely with teachers and advisors to select courses that align with their interests, goals, and strengths.

We look for applicants who are driven by genuine curiosity and a desire to actively connect with our community. Bancroft School students are expected to wonder, investigate, create, and contribute. We prioritize those who ask thoughtful questions, seek diverse perspectives, and are eager to collaborate with their peers.

While academic readiness is important, we are equally interested in students who are excited to discover their passions, develop their voice, and connect with others. Through signature experiences in Inquiry, Design Thinking, Public Speaking, Science & Engineering Inquiry, and Senior Capstone research, students develop the confidence to explore new ideas, the skills to pursue them, and the character to make a meaningful impact.

In Upper School, students and families partner with counselors, advisors, and teachers throughout the college search process, benefiting from individualized guidance, college fairs, admissions representative visits, essay support, and application counseling.
